Conditions of booking

Telephone bookings can be paid by credit card within 7 days. Cheques not accepted. Deposits are non refundable and non-transferable.
Outstanding balance
This is due on arrival or prior to arrival either by cash, or credit/debit card. (Not Amex or Diners)
Your pitch
This is available from noon on the day of arrival and should be vacated by 11.30 am on the day of departure. If you require to arrive early or leave late, this may be possible by prior arrangement. NO open fires, only BBQs for the purposes of cooking are allowed on any pitch with use of bricks provided by the park.
Please notify us if you intend to arrive after 7.00 pm so we can make arrangements to let you in through the security barrier. We will do our best, but cannot guarantee reservation on any particular pitch.
Tents and large trailer tents
Please advise us when booking of the size so we can put you on an appropriate pitch.
Vehicle Restrictions
Commercial vehicles, European caravans (left hand drive), sign written vehicles are not permitted on the park.
Ground sheets
We prefer you to use breathable groundsheets on grass. If not, and if staying more than 4 days, we may ask you to re-pitch so the grass remains attractive.
Visitors
Adult daytime visitors must report to reception and sign in. There is a charge (please see visitors pricing structure in booking section).
Dogs
We can no longer admit large dogs, eg. Alsatian / Akita size, or breeds that may cause concern by reputation. Please do not allow your dogs to foul the park. We have a dog walk and owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times. We reserve the right to limit the total number of dogs on the park. Anyone not abiding by these rules may be asked to leave without refund.
Ball games
Ball games must not be played near caravans or tents nor in such a way as to annoy others.
Liability
All vehicles, caravans, trailer tents and tents and their contents are permitted to enter the park at their own risk. The proprietors will accept no responsibility for theft, damage or injury whilst on the park, however caused.
The etiquette of caravanning and camping
Code of conduct – the etiquette of caravanning and camping.
We set out to provide at Bawtry Caravan & Camping a quiet place to relax in the countryside, somewhere away from the reminders of urban living. To do so we ask you to follow the guidelines: regrettably if you do not we may have to ask you to leave. Please drive 5mph at all times.
Noise carries through canvas and open windows. Please keep music and conversation reduced, particularly after 10 p.m. We would ask you to be particularly quiet if you have to return after 10 p.m. Please park outside the security gate which is locked after 10pm and re-opens at 7:30am. In an emergency our warden can open the Gate.
Please do not use external washing lines. A window rack is acceptable, but both spin and tumble dryers are available in the laundry room.
Dogs must be on leads at all times, and must not be allowed to annoy others with uncontrolled barking. Cats should not be allowed to roam free. We do not allow any other animals to be brought onto the Park. Ensure that your pet only relieves itself on the ‘dog walk’ and that you clean up after your pet. A disposal bin is provided next to the ‘dog walk’. Pets must not be left unattended at any time.
Small windbreaks may be used, but do not fence off areas of the Park.
Generators cannot be used. Electricity connections are widely available – cost of electricity not included and must be purchased separately.
If you use an electric pump to inflate your airbed, please do so early in the evening, before the buzz of the motor becomes annoying to others relaxing.
Barbecues must be kept sufficiently raised above the ground to prevent scorching the grass. Bricks are available near the taps. NO open fires, only BBQs for the purposes of cooking are allowed on any pitch with use of bricks provided by the park.
Only ‘breathable’ groundsheets may be used, or if unavoidable for example a pup tent with a sewn-in ground sheet, then the tent must be moved every four days.
Dogs are welcome, but…
Please help us to continue to allow dogs at Bawtry Caravan and Camping.
We have three basic rules.
The first two are about health and safety:
1. Dog mess is a hazard to everyone.
- We have provided a dog walk. Please use this. There is a bin there.
- If your dog makes a mess then you must clear it up and put the bag in the bin.
Keeping your dog on a lead at all times will ensure they do not make a mess on site, and do not frighten other people.
2. Please do not leave your dog in your caravan or tent when you leave the site.
We have no way of knowing if you have just popped out or have gone for the day. All we know is that an animal is shut in and our concern is for the welfare of that animal. We have been told by the RSPCA to inform them if we are unhappy with any animal shut in a tent or caravan.
3. This is about being a considerate owner.
- Does your dog bark during the night?
- Does your dog bark every time someone passes your pitch?
Yes!
- Then this will disturb other users of the site and can frighten other people.
- It is best if you choose another site.
No!
- Then you are most welcome to stay on our site and enjoy the adult only atmosphere.
Unfortunately, if our Dog Warden sees that you have not followed our simple rules, then you will be asked to leave the site.
